I'm sorry to ask yet another question but here goes. I can't figure out why my car runs well then starts to run as if its "off" I have narrowed it down to removing the vacuum line to the brake booster and then putting it back on... All of a sudden when after removing and then returning it to its home the cars running much better... A lot peppier. As if its alive. I have no idea why this is having an effect on the part throttle drivability but do I have the option of replacing the little nipple or replacing the brake booster..? Could either of those be allowing a slight vacuum leak? or a build up of too much vacuum...? I don't know what the hells going on but the action of removing and then putting back on that little nipple is making my car run great! I hear the noise (like a sucking sound when I remove the nipple) so you would think there isn't a vaccuum leak but still the car runs so much better after I disconnect and then reconnect the nipple.. Could someone take a guess what is happening and what can be done so I permanantly fix this? I appreciate any hypothisis. JB | ||||||||||||||||||||

Try pinching off the vaccuum hose with a quality flat long nose vice grip and drive the car, remembering that you have no brake assist. If it runs and idles better, then your brake booster may be leaking.
