Door Locked Up

The Door on my 72 vette Drivers side is locked up and I can't get it open at all. I tried pulling up on the inside bar and it doesn't budge. Does anyone know how to get it open ??? I Live in Union County, New Jersey....HELP !!!!!

any slim jim should be able to get that door open. you will need the assembly manual to see exactly where the rod is that you need to pull on but if i remember correctly, its a 5 to 6" rod located right below the door open/close handle. there is also a 12 to 16 inch rod that runs from the inner door open/close handle up to the latch but that rod moves more front to back than it does up and down so it wont be as easy to pull on it with a slim jim. it's been about 5 or so yeas since i adjusted mine. i just happened to do it when i replaced my door panels. a good place to start would be to get the assembly manual through mid-america, zip products or any other corvette parts mag. they are about $29. i have one for my 74 but i'm not 100% sure it is exactly the same as your year.
