CM Clunk in front suspension?

Haven't had much time with my '98 coupe this year (traveling too much for work). Had it out today and noticed a clunk in the front suspension, over large bumps, but mostly under braking and turning left (can feel in the floor board).

Brought it home and went through the sway bars (lubed them), end links, looking for anything loose and cannot find anything obvious. Just added new end links late last year (upgraded from the plastic ones to the newer style end links).

While I had it in the air, checked for any play in the front bearings . . rotors and brakes are new last year and no issues with it earlier this year. . . seems like it just started today after sitting for 3 weeks.

Could it be a bad shock or something else?

How are your sway bar bushings? Mine were dry rotted and I got this same noise.

Another thought is ball joint.

Any good tire/alignment shop can offer some good guidance.

Possible lower contol arm bolt or a bad control arm bushing ?
get under there and look close.

Thanks for the suggestions . . .I think I am going to take it in to a tire/alignment shop and get it checked out, I am starting to suspect a bad ball joint since everything else checks out okay.

58,000 miles . . . . . took it in to an Tire/alignment shop and it turns out one of the front sway bar links had failed. Quick trip to buy a new link and install it and the clunk is gone! Everything else on the front and rear supension is solid, no other issues.
