That's a little much. Even for a special edition. He should hang on to it for another 10 years or so to see that kind of money for it. I just looked on eBay...there's an pace car edition with only 4k miles going for less than that right now. My first car was an '88 Fiero GT. That was such a fun car. Just needed more power. |

Since you were a previous owner of a fiero (which I also liked!) how much should a car like that sell for? Thanks JB

That particular one? Since it has the Indy package and the low miles, it should go for more than a typical '84. Which is probably $2k or less by now. I would guess more like $5k is generous for what this car should get. But it's just not old enough to really be considered collectible yet. This is kinda like someone wanting 10 grand for a DeLorean. Presonally, the only one you want is the '88 model. Either a Formula or a GT. (did you know that John Cafaro, a designer on the Corvette team also designed the Fiero?) '88 was the standout year since not only it's the last and had the lowest production numbers, but that was the only year that Fiero got it's own specific suspension. The 1984-87 models had a suspension lifted from the Chevette or something like that. I would think a clean '88 GT is worth all of $3k at the very best. And that would be worth it. How much lower could the market really go for those? |

3 grand for a 1988 fiero gt with the v6 would be a fun toy. I remember and it could be just a memory ...that the fiero with its mid engine V6 was a lot of fun to drive.. Kind of like a formula one race car.. This particular gentleman has on the jack stands a 325hp IRON DUKE that I believe can also be installed into this vehicle.. Now that should be quite the rocket..being that its lighter weight than the v6 and almost triple the power? The gentleman who owns this car wanted me to take it home for the weekend to see if I would fall in love with it.. It really was a nice car...I just don't need three cars again..
