CM 2008/C6 key FOB

I have a recently purchased (3wks) 08/C6coupe. Would you please bottom line the issue of minimum distance the key FOB must be for the vehicle to go into its "Park" mode as someone put it. I too have noticed my volts indicated are 14-14.4VDC most of the time. This seems excessive. Is this a voltmeter or an ampmeter. My vehicle is one of recalled ones unfortunately. Maybe I will warrant a new battery? thoughts Please

Hi there,
Normally, I like to see 10 ft.
I dont know if GM give a specific distance in the owners manual, but from what I know, 10 ft should do it.
As for your charging system, thats not uncommon, so I wouldnt worry.
Allthebest, c4c5

You know, this may sound kinda stupid but if you place the fob next to the bottom of your chin and press the buttons, you can actually increase the distance. Yea, it sounds stupid but try it and post your results. You'll be surprised. I think it has something to with your hair acting as an antenna. Hell, even as I type this it sounds stupid but I've used that trick for years.
