CM Pulled the trigger on a new C6! Wow!

Called Kerbeck Chevy on a new black Z51 436hp NPP exhaust C6 and drove down and picked it up this afternoon.

Dave Salvatore, the sales manager as well as his entire staff over at Kerbeck were awesome.

Everything was exactly as he said it was. The price was awesome...

I waxed the car yesterday and now I know why the guys with black cars claim to go insane..

Its a tough color even to wax.. The retouch ups on detailing off the residue was suprising to me.. I was laughing as I was like Holly Crap.. everytime I thought I was done.. I walked a few steps and saw some other thing I needed to wipe off again.. It was a wild @ss experience..

I love the car and the color and if its a little dirty from time to time thats ok with me..

Put almost a thousand miles on in a week or two..?

REally a fun car ..

As far as NVH it stands for Noise vibration and the "H" is Harshness or something else..

All I know is the car really is a lot more civilized than the C5 Z I had modded..

The modded C5 Z had a ticking, the cam lope, the headers drone, the tire rubble in the cockpit all gone and quite honestly the new C6 Z51 with 436hp feels pretty dam close to the 480hp C5 Z without all the nvh issues.. and its consistantly quick.

The fact that I know the car will top out at 190 mph doesn't hurt either.

The C5 z was a lot of fun while I owned it but this new C6 really is a much better vehicle for me to own. At almost 50 I don't have the patience I must have had in my early 40's..

I retired and I just want to have a nice car to drive ...with very little maintaince issues to deal with that a new car offers..

As far as what Happened with my C5 Z? I was driving normally two weeks ago and the timing chain snapped, took out the valves etc so as I sold it without the motor in less than 5 hours of it happening...(just lucky) drove down to Kerbecks that afternoon and bought a new C6 Z51 with the NPP exhaust..

Really a wonderful car. Surprisingly I don't miss my old Z.

CM JB's NEW C6

HI JB,
I know you are waxing the heck out of that beautiful car & enjoying every minute of it.. I was the same way when I bought my first 01 vette.By the way my 01 came from kerbec's in atlantic city. George kerbeck wanted to buy this car(my car now) from the original owner really bad but, greg said he could do better on a private sale. Lucky for me.
Before I had the vette I owned a 1987 supra black with tan int. I can relate to the residue you are taking about. You wax a portion then wipe it clean look at from another angle & bingo a dust or dirt mark.Any way it was 18 years old when I sold it & it looked like the day it rolled off the assy. line.If you have a e-mail address I,ll sent the pictures of the supra taken in the summer of 2004.
Heres a tip that I received from some of my dealer gm techs.Try this new wax called ICE they tell me (the detailers & the mechanics) that it does not leave any residue. I saw it at walmart but didn't try it as I have a ton of wax to use first.Enjoy your car because its COOL!
