CM back up lamp switch question

Back up lights on my 6 speed, 99 Corvette are not working when shifter is put into reverse. Back up lights do go on along with running lights when car is locked or unlocked with remote as usual -- so bulbs are not burned out. This sounds like the back up light switch to me -- where is it located?? Please advise.

Sounds about right! The switch is located on the trans and of course under the car. Service manual states to remove the Intermediate Exhaust Pipe. Torque new switch to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

I have never changed mine so I cannot comment more on it...
