My first car was a 1987 two tone Blk & Silver Cavalier RS 2.0L.

I had the car for 11 years (3 sets of fog lamps) and took two trophies with it. Both in the stock and original class, one was at a Super Chevy Show. It was modded but the judges could not tell the way I did it.

Just like this one but mine was a 2 door and I had the steel rally rims

Traded it in for a 1998 Z24, then a 2000 Blazer, 2003 PT Cruiser Turbo and now 2007 Jeep.

Now go play with your tools!

1998 6-speed Coupe. Z06 exhaust, Z06 sway bars, C6 Z06 Shifter, LS6 Intake Manifold, K&N FIPK, Vararam Velocity Stack, stainless steel brake lines, Borla X pipe, Z06 shocks. SAE Dyno Numbers 330 RWHP/340 RWTQ

2002 Monti Carlo. 60,000 miles runs great and no problems except to have thermostat changed and new tires at 40,000 and 50,00 respectively .

CM SSR truck-LS2, 6speed

My daily driver is a 2006 6liter SSR. 6peed and Aqua Blur color. Most fun I have had in a daily driver since my 69 GTO (in 1969) The truck is LS2 equipped so it has an attitude. My C5 does spend most of the week in the garage but gets out on weekends if not raining. GM LOVER here.

CM What is your regular driver?

HI There,
My dd (driven by my wife, still working) is a 02 Honda accord ex coupe. Just turned 38k on the clock. No issues at all.I will be changing most of the fluids as I noticed they are dark in color. My 01 vette 13k on the clock no issues at all other than changing of the original factory fluids last year.
Funny you should mention the 08 Cobalt.
Two weeks ago my brother & I were going to a car show held at the farm show complex in Harrisburg,Pa.
We were in the right lane for traffic that was stopped in front of us. He was driving a 96 Camry & we were rear ended by a 08 Cobalt.Scared the crap out of us!
We got out of the car & checked on the young girl that hit us. She was ok, but crying & upset.Later I walked over & looked at her car & it had major damage to the right front fender, hood, & bent tie rods, pass. side mirror was gone just wires hanging. The wheel looked like a giant sized nut cracker was used on it.Bags did not deploy. Her car had to be towed. My Brothers car needed a left rear quarter panel, gas cap cover missing & some trunk lid & left tail light damage. We were about an hour late for the car show, but we both are retired & were not in a big rush.Just glad nobody was injured other than a stiff neck I had the next day.
BTW: I would like to contribute to the " piggy bank" what is the procedure?
Secure payment site using a credit card?
BTW: Wouldn't "on star" be great to have when in a accident? What are the pros & cons?
Thanks

My DD is a '99 Blazer 2wd 2dr that I bought new in May of 1999. Currently, only 58K miles on the clock and still sportin' the orginal Uniroyal tires. Runs and looks like new. I've only replaced the battery once... and the water pump last spring. Gets decent mileage for driving around San Diego.

My '98 C5 coupe finally passed the Blazer on mileage last week when it rolled over to 59K miles!!! ha It had it's 10th birthday on 11-3-07, as shown in my sig. pic below.

I sold my '88 C4, in this pic, with 175K miles. Still ran like a top!! I wish I could have kept it for a backup DD! It was a great car too.

My regular ride is a Ford pickup truck. If it were my choice, I'd be in a Chevy, but this being a company truck, I'm just happy to be riding for free most of the time.

2002 Electron Blue Z06 is my daily driver and has been for the last 6 months. My truck was killing me on gas mileage so I traded it for the Z. It was an even swap so I feel like I came out to the good. Plus, I have an 88 F150 that I use for real truck duty.
