Hi, newby here, but I have a problem with my 1980 Corvette, ![]() I just changed out the dash wiring harness and now my horn will blow for no reason, then get stuck blowing constantly, if I disconnect it at the horn and reconnect it, it does not start back , but if you hit the steering wheels rim fairly hard, it will start blowing again.... the center horn ring LOOKS ok, all 3 rivets are intact but kinda hard to tell if the insulation is still good..... should I replace that first, or could there be a short somewhere else any ideas? thanks Larry | ||||||||||||||||||||

HI there, So, its definately shorting out inside the column. Unfortunately, i have seen this alot with the cancelling cam creating issues if its not positioned JUST RIGHT. Remove the horn pad and take a look. Make sure the metal doesnt touch anything but the center stud. Allthebest, c4c5 |
