Question A4 Shift Points

Hi,
I am the proud owner of a new (to me) 05 C6 Vette and new member to this Forum. I purchased an 05 Arctic White Coupe A4 Auto back in November with only 6700 miles on her and she was/is in perfect condition as far as I can tell so far. Right now she is pretty much garage kept because of weather here in the Northeast, but I have put about 400 miles on her and she feels strong when I asked her to go, but I haven't got on her hard yet. But I do have 1 question about the A4 auto with 3.15 gears: What is the speed in each gear at max RPM's shift points??
Thanks much in advance!!
TY Joe

Hi there,
The shift speed is determined by output shaft speed, NOT vehicle speed.
So, with that in mind, it may vary more then you think.
Just remember, maximum shift of the transmission at engine RPM is about 6500.

Yes, I understand what you are saying, but all I am trying to find out is at the max. shift rpm's of 6500 what would be the approx. speed of a stock o5 C6 with A4 automatic and 3.15 rear in:

1st gear = ?? mph @ 6500 rpms
2nd gear = ?? mph @ 6500 rpms
3rd gear = ??? mph @ 6500 rpms
4th gear = 186 mph @ ???? rpms (top speed. est.)

Again, thanks much!!

Hi there,
Are you speaking of the actual top speed of each gear???
Or are you speaking of the speed when the transmission actual shifts from one gear to the next?
IM a bit confused by the post above.
