The mold release used in rubber mfg is silicone based. The clutch fluid shouldn't leech the color from anything (or, it's a compatibility problem.) This is why your brake fluid remains clear far longer. It's got rubber seals in it's system also. Question remains...why does the clutch fluid get dark within 500 miles? (or less if you are doing holeshots with it...) Now I gotta go do the turkey baster method of removing the crud in the reservior... | ||||||||||||||||||||

Hi there, The discoloration is actually carbon from the diaphragm which is classified by GM as normal and does NOT IN ANY WAY create reliability concerns with the fluid. Allthebest, c4c5 |
