CM any truth to this ????

A way to keep evaporator dry & prevent odor

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have been in the habit of turning off my AC compressor (leaving HVAC blower on) about 5 minutes from home, to help dry off the AC evaporator. However, if you have automatic climate control, you can use a Tech 2 to "enable" afterblow of the HVAC fan. Once the afterblow feature is enabled, via Tech 2, the HVAC blower motor will operate between medium and high speed for 4 minutes after the engine has been turned off, if the following conditions are meet:

• The outside air temperature must be at least 21°C (70°F).

• The A/C compressor must operate for more than 2 minutes.

• The engine must be turned off for at least 45 minutes.

• The system voltage must be at least 12 volts

This will help to decrease any HVAC or ventalation system odor due to microbial growth that normally occurs on the damp evaporator.
