CM LTPWS, 'turn on' on my 02 C5.

Not sure just how to 'splain this but I'll give 'er a shot. I've searched the archives with no luck.

My car has the sensors and the system is, apparently, intact.

When attempting to 'read' the pressures with the DIC I get all "x's" instead of "-'s". I've tried the magnet method as has a buddy of mine, no joy with the 'recognition' of the valves.

Does this system require a Tech2 to turn the option on in the BCM since it's apparently been 'turned off' somehow?

Is this something I can do with my Diablo Predator (new model, 7198) ?

Thanks in advance for any insight,

Jim

Ok, here's what I've got in the RFA.

B0 RFA C2100 HC

B0 RFA C2105 HC

B0 RFA C2110 HC

B0 RFA C2115 HC

That's all in that module.

Thank you kindly.

HI there,
Your module is not programmed with the sensors.
You must program the tire sensors.
Are you putting the module into programming mode on the DIC PRIOR to using the magnet??

Yes, I am putting it into programming mode and it tells me to start with the left front sensor, which I do.

I have tried both a rare earth magnet AND a strong, round magnet such as the type used by the Chevrolet technicians.

Thank you again for your continued help with this,

Jim

HI there,
So that tells me the receiver is NOT seeing the left front, when you are in programming mode.
Heres a tip.
Try going to another sensor if the left front does NOT program within 1 minute of the magnet being on the sensor stem.
If you then hear a horn signal, keep going.
This will tell you which sensors are NOT working.

None of the sensors will trigger the horn.

I tried making ALL of the sensors 'first' in line.

I've tried several magnet types. Rare earth, a large speaker magnet.

No luck.

Did the tire pressure readings suddenly go out? Do the key fobs work?
