HI there, On a 1994, there could be 2, depending on if you have the LT1 or the LT5. They are both usually located under the passenger side of your dash. Allthebest, c4c5 |

Greetings again, looking at the Corvette service manual it states that the fuel pump relay is located under the passengers side of the dash,if you fine a batch of square relays you will need to find the one that has 3 in a row and you need to get the middle one, this is the fuel pump relay, right next to the batch of 3 relays is a set of 2 relays, not these.sorry for the wrong info i sent ya last night.I think they call that fuzzy logic.

Thanks for the info. It is an LT1. The scenario is that the car will run perfectly and then shut down and not start. It may not start again for hours. It will always crank and some times will sputter for a moment. When it decides to start it again runs perfectly. I suspect now that it is not a fuel issue bu possibly the ICM. What do you think?

I also should mention that when it is in a no start condition there is no spark

HI there, If you have no spark, look towards the low resolution signal inside the optical sensor. Allthebest, c4c5 |

no trouble codes registered by the way ( i am saying this as there is no light on on the dash). Would it not register a code if the sensor or wiring was faulty. Is the sensor located in the distributor and if so does the distrubutor have to be removed to test / replace. What is the test procedure for testing the sensor?

The low resolution signal will be a red/black trace wire running from the distributor to the PCM located above the battery, Does the tach show any RPMS when you try and start the engine? it sounds to me like you have and internal dist problem ---these opti spark distributors were famous for giving you problems, look at the underside of the water pump and see if you have a coolant leak that in turn runs right down on top of the distributor.if it does you have likely found your problem-let us know--we can fix this thing. The low resolution signal will be a square wave signal that will have to be viewed with the use of an oscilloscope or a graphing DVOM-Digital Volt Ohm Meter.

The tach stays at 0 on crank and there are no water leaks from the pump. If there is no light on the dash could there still be a code stored?
