For the last year or so I have been getting the service active handling, ABS, traction control message. It appears once every couple of weeks or so then goes off after a restart. I get the code 1214 for the EBCM problem. My question is can the message on the DIC be shutoff by pulling a fuse? I know eventually it will stay on permanently and I'll have to deal with it but I need to go for an inspection sticker soon and I am afraid that that will be the time when it turns on. I don't believe that this should be a reason for rejection since a lot of cars don't have these features but you never know what a shop will do. Thanks Steve 02 ZO6

HI there, When you use the DIC to check for codes, you can push and hold the reset button and that will clear the code for that ignition cycle if the condition is no longer present. Allthebest, c4c5 |

Thankyou C4C5. The problem is that they drive the car into the bay so if the message should pop up I couldn't clear it. I just wondered if there was a way to shut off the DIC before I take it in. Thanks again Steve
