| The true experience of driving a sports car is the interaction of using a clutch pedal and a shift lever. DSG takes that away, but I can see where it could be useful at times. I think the ideal set up would be to have a fully manual shifting transmission , with the option of a DSG overide a push button away. |

| Well...after GM's expertise in design of the clutch in the c5 and C6? I'll take DSG any day of the week.. The hydralyics (sp) in the C5 and C6 are so limited its pitiful. At least if the bought the DSG as Ford is planning the dam thing would work 100% of the time. I shouldn't complain as I just have to flush the master once a month and the clutch pedal seems to work...but still... Being an owner of a corvette and having to do this is kind of ridiculous. GM should farm out the whole clutch operation in a dSG option for future vettes.. Screwing around making believe we're race car drivers is fun...but the dsg experience theorically should take that experience that much closer to reality..being that its that fast... Faster than any human can shift anyway... Good for performance and thats the bottom line. IMO |
