CM 2003 Pontiac Vibe window issue...

Just got back from being out of town and I thought I would post here just to see if someone can help me.

My 2003 Vibe drivers side window fell into the door a few weeks ago. I took the door apart and one of the two cheap plastic clips that bolt the window to the arm or I assume the regulator broke off. Since you cannot replace the clip and glue a new one onto the glass, the entire window has to be replaced.

I go buy a new window and install it. Over the weekend my wife tells me as she rolled the window up it made a nasty crack! I just took the door apart again and find the same plastic clip broke!
I remembered when I installed the new window and one arm appeared to twist itself as the window got to the completely closed position. I thought this was odd but accepted it as normal... Now I am thinking the window regulator needs to be replaced because it should not be twisting as it is.

Can anyone comment on what is going on before I buy a new window for $127 and replace the second one that lasted only 4 weeks!

Thanks,

my guess would be the regulator got bent when the clip broke last time and you tried to raise and lower the window .I would say a new regulator will be needed . I could be wrong but i thought you could by the clips I will check Steve

Bummer nothing worse then fixing the same thing twice it should have never happened in the first place. Remember the days when parts weren't made of plastic.. Junk yard ...whenever I cannot get a peice without buying the whole enchilada it is time to visit the junk yard. or is it now a "recycle facility" Best of Luck

Yeah Foot I wish I could find the clips but GM does not offer them and the glass place I talked to does not. The clips are glued to the window, so if I did find the clip, I would need the proper glue too.

I cannot do anything until I find the cause and like Steve says I too think it is the regulator. I mean what else could it be?

Unless Steve can find the clips unlike my search...
