Hi guys, I have been slowly converting my vette to make it compliant to Euro specs as much as possible. However I have hit a snag today that consists in activating the CE4 RPO, I have not had much success in going about doing this. ![]() I did a small write up of what I did here: What have I been up to ... - Corvette Forum or here What have I been up to ... - Digital Corvettes Which I have heard about this site, so I thought I'd give it a shot here ![]() hehe i like the smilies here ... Basically I have installed the components related the CE4 option, I have a tech II and now I need to get reprogram the BCM so that it activates this option. Based on the information that I have until know, there is no way for me to do this without going to my dealer. Is there some way I can send him the memory card of my Tech II so that it can be done remotely? ![]() Thank you in advance for any insight, Cedric

HI there, Depending on option codes available to the VIN, it may not be allowed by the Tech 2. Now, that being said, we will do further investigation today, to see if it is possible. Allthebest, c4c5 |

HI there, Here is the deal. After doing some research, the correct VIN must be gotten for an export version, a new BCM installed and programmed. That is a problem, because your other modules will be programmed for the other VIN. So, here is a suggestion. Your voltage source for the relay at the fuse block can be spliced into the voltage source for the wiper washer. Thats the only solution I can come up with, other than replacing module. The key is the driver within the BCM. Your only allowed an RPO configuration sequence if your programming a NEW BCM. Allthebest, c4c5 |

Hi there, My fallback solution was to change the relay in the fuse box, however you have raised an interesting point. If I have understood you correctly, getting a new BCM will allow me to reprogram the list of active RPO? I was under the impression that the list of active RPO was bound to the VIN, as such by defining the VIN, the Tech II will request to connect to the GM Web server to get the list of the active RPO. I did not think that this list can be configured when a new BCM is installed, which is how I have understood your response. Thanks, Cedric

HI there, That can be true at times, however since I have not performed this type of modification to enable the CE4 option, I cannot state for absolute certain as I have not looked for that RPO. Even if the request is there, I do not believe that RPOs are tied to VIN, only that all VIN RPOs are available at the time of programming. Once again, factual research is the name of the game. We will see what else we can come up with. Allthebest, c4c5 |
