I have a 2000 A4 C5 with 80k. In the morning when I have been leaving, I put my car in drive and when I touch the gas to go, there is a few svibration to the car and hesitation to go, and it goes with no problem. It doesn't do it more than the first two take offs when the car is cold. Once you have been driving for a while, there are no problems. I had the differential and tranny flushed and fluid replaced with Royal Purple to mfd specs about 2 months ago. HELP ME AND MY BABY PLEASE!!!

Hi there, When you try to move it again first thing in the morning, please place the shifter into 1, NOT D prior to driving away. Then tell us if it shudders. Allthebest, c4c5 |

HI there, The 4L60 is a fairly reliable transmission. The key is to understand how it functions In D, there is one clutch applied, called the FORWARD clutch. Now, that being said, when you put the transmission in 1, you turn on a second clutch called the OVERRUN CLUTCH Now, if the problem was ONLY in D and NOT 1, your forward clutch was probably slipping. You are isolating that clutch because your putting the overrun clutch ON to eliminate that forward clutch as part of the problem. I will be posting a 4L60 function HOW TO in the future. So, that being said, the first course of action is the CHECK OF YOUR FLUID LEVEL> Using your DIC, make sure the temperature of the fluid is between 80-122 F and the engine running. Then, remove the 22mm sight plug at the side of the transmission pan. You should have a slight dribble out of the hole. If there isnt any, fill with Dexron 6, until it just starts to dribble out. Another question, did they change the filter and if so, what did it look like? Or do you have the part number? Allthebest, c4c5 |

Looking forward to the 4l60 how to and to Carlisle next year! Are these symptoms indicative of low fluid level and/or possible early symptoms of clutch failure? need for A4 rebuild? This site is the best! Thank you | ||||||||||||||||||||
