Want a chuckle [true story]

First before I tell you this little story, know that I train my dogs with other dogs one being this Czech import named Barron and we situational train, for example searching the woods or a building for a bad guy, and to fight the bad guy and win under attack and gunfire... just to name a few.... and understand that under threat, gunfire or command the dog will attack and do serious damage because this is how we train them, to protect us.

This is handsome Baron (pictured) who is 140lbs., now (90lbs., in this picture) darling, isn't he? Looks sweet doesn't he?

anyway he is a VERY hard dog meaning it's almost impossible to correct him, correction just ups his fight drive. So trying to stop him once he decided someone is a threat is difficult. Personally I would not want the liability this dog brings. When a trained dog with a high fight drive is in 'DRIVE' they have a massive adrenaline dump and tunnel vision to win. The win/prize is biting, they love to bite.

Barron is owned by a cop in MA down on the south shore not as a patrol dog but as a companion, friend and protector.

So this cop has a carpenter over to do some work at his house, no problem Barron doesn't seem to mind him or even be interested in the carpenter...good, well not for long.

So the cop tells the carpenter he is going out to the store, no problem, until... the carpenter starts using his nail gun. 2 bangs and he can see Barron coming down the hallway full speed... he jumps into a closet where the poor bastard stayed for hours, peeking out occasionally only to see Barron right there and waiting for him. The cop did not come right back, he was gone almost 6 hours.

I thought it was amusing the carpenter was stuck in the closet for 6 hours. Apparently and lucky for him he was working near the closet.

Cop got fired a few weeks later for an off duty incident. Now the cop has taken a job as a mercenary in Iraq, 3 months there and three months back, then back to Iraq again. I hear it's big bucks and guess who will be the guest at my trainers during this time? Yep badass Barron. I'll take some video of him in action along with my dogs.

i've shot many deer with a slug gun. shotgun 1oz rifled slugs that is. thats actually my weapon of choice. big hole going in. monumental size hole on the exit. never had one run more than a few yards. now if i could just figure out how to strap an air compressor on my back i'll be willing to give that nailgun thing a try.

Beautiful Dog! Doing his job and earning his keep. He should get a steak dinner. Shouldn't be seperated from his person but shouldn't go to Iraj, either. Here is hoping, that he gets what he needs and lives happy and healthy and has lots of puppies

Oh Barron will be okay at my trainers, Dave.... where he has boarded before, for his 3 months stay until papa comes home for 3 months, then he'll go back. My trainer loves this kind of dog and takes Barron everywhere with him when he is boarding there. I'll bring him jerky treats.

I'm sure the cop never gave a thought to the nail gun mimicking gunshots and turning the dog on.... LOL

Your right he did do his job, bang, charge!

When I take my dogs to this particular lake there is firing range somewhere in the distance because I can hear it, and my dogs get all wound up listening to the distant pop, pop pop pop.
