CM "Service Traction System" on DIC

I have an '08 C6Z and I just installed a power cord for an accessory to the ground and 12V switched pins of the connector on the back of the rear view mirror. Now, the DIC shows "Service Traction System" and it's throwing a PO 502. When I select driver mode with the traction control button, the yellow light goes out, but returns when I restart the car. When I disconnect the accessory wire from the connector and restart the car, same error message and code. Could my interaction with the connector have caused this? Did I blow a fuse? What's the fix? Thanks.

HI there,
This can happen if you slip the clutch excessively, at low vehicle speeds, because the module is looking for certain speeds for a given RPM.
That being said, what other mods are on the vehicle.
Because the P0502 is an ECM CODE, NOT an ABS code.

I had headers, Corsa x-pipe and exaust installed a year ago. I don't slip the clutch, but I let my brother-in-law drive the car on Thanksgiving and the clutch got abused.

So, is it true that it's a coincidence that I added the accessory and now have the PO 502 and the traction control error? In other words, are they unrelated? Thanks.

HI there,
Probably just a coincedence.
Anyway, if your clutch is slipping, this code may set.

Is the PO 502 is related to the clutch slippage, if not what? Thanks.

HI there,
P0502 is for your vehicle speed sensor, low voltage.
Now, that being said, yes a slipping clutch could have something to do with it.
But accurate diagnosis is important, as is making sure that the ABS code is a C1278

If it doesn't go away, I'll have the dealer look at it. Thanks.

...and now another symptom - the car won't go into reverse. Any more ideas?

Hi there,
Sounds like your wiring harness going to the rear of the car has a problem.
Maybe due to the header install or if the driveline was out of the car, something was pinched?
Just a thought.
