GM Service Manual Inconsistent

Hello,

In the GM Service Manual, Helms edition, for the 2008 C6 Corvette there is an inconsistency.

In volume 1, section 4-83 it states on the schematic that:

• Pin X2-6: is the rear fog lamp switch signal, circuit 1977
• Pin X2-22: is the rear fog lamp relay control, circuit 187

In volume 2, section 11-215 it states on the terminal part list that:

• Pin X2-6: is the rear fog lamp relay control, circuit 1977
• Pin X2-22: is the rear fog lamp switch signal, circuit 187

These two statements are contradictory, does anyone know which of the two is correct?

As I am not a GM Dealer, I can't contact them directly to report this issue.

My current assumption is that someone screwed up on the description in section 11-215 and the schematic in 4-83 is correct.

Hi,

I went ahead and I tried it and powered the car up, the first solution is the correct solution. It's a typo in the '08 book:

In volume 2, section 11-215, based on my experimentation, it should read:

• Pin X2-6: is the rear fog lamp switch signal, circuit 1977
• Pin X2-22: is the rear fog lamp relay control, circuit 187

Depending on the date of manufacture, either could be correct.
