Question Winter protection question?

I was wondering since it's winter here, what kind of undercarriage protection did the factory provide on the C-5. I've never looked under my 2003 coupe to see if there was any undercoating or what kind of sealing is standard from the factory, Anyone know? Thanks and Merry Christmas to all my fellow members!

I have been under mine many times and I do not see any protection. I really do not thing GM would have added any either. It looks like the panels housing the balsa wood are aluminium or galvanized though. The flat black metal strips between the panels are steel and I have touched mine up in the past.
I just would not drive mine in the winter or salty spray.

Now go play with your tools!

HI there,
The steel is protected by an anticorrosion coating.
As for the rest, being aluminum and composites, nothing is used.
Allthebest, c4c5
