My vettes interior lights go on whenever they feel like it. I get a sys message and my mechanic says I need a body control module. He has ordered one but has no idea when he will get it. Does anybody know a source so I can get this fixed?

Have you checked for CCM codes? If not, it's very easy to do. Use a paperclip to ground G to A on your ALDL.(Top right to bottom left). 1.0 will show in the speedo display. Codes, if present, will show here also. Let us know what shows up. Hopefully, it won't be a bad CCM. I had a VATS problem earlier this year that turned out to be a loose, dirty connection to the CCM (thanks again c4c5) and not a bad unit as the FSM was pointing to. Good luck.

I do not work on the car. I have a great mechanic Corvette MasTers in Orlando He put it through all of the necessary tests. After spending 5 hours today working on my boat I prefer somebody else to work on the car. Thanks for the hints, I am just trying to help them locate the part to speed up the process. It is strange in that my SYS light no longer comes on but the inteior lights seem to have a mind of their own. Happy New Years to all. jk
