no cruise control

Am new to corvettes, have a 80 corvette with cruise control problem. Have replaced 2 wire transducer,all vacuum hoses, speedo works,actuator to carb holds vac, no leak there, have power to transducer, can here selonoid turn on but will not engage. Replaced vacuum hoses as were taken off, mayby former owner put vacuum lines on wrong. Car has good vacuum, pluged off vac line coming in to transducer idles better, suspect vac leak. Have blown smoke into transducer and it comes out the bottom of transducer. Is there a vacuum hose chart for correct placement of vac lines to transducer? Disassembled former transducer, reinstalled and on turning unit on car would accellarate only untill turn off, cruise would not set. I hope this not to much info. Thanks Ralph

did you check the switch at the brake pedal has a vacuum hose and wiring to control braking with cruz control Steve

Does this mean that when you set the cruise control the vehicle accelerates continuously up to top speed of vehicle if you would allow it, and that the only way to stop it is to turn it off?

Yes on old transducer, new no cruise

having similar problems with 82 crossfire cruise control please if there is a diagram for this whether vacum or wiring wise please point me to it
