I have a '05 C6 that looks like it has an oil leak at the rear of the engine. The oil pan is covered in a light film of oil at the rear of the pan near the oil filter. It is not from a filter change. It does not drip on the floor. The car has 19,000 miles on it. I have read on other boards about multi repairs for the same problem and it keeps coming back. Some people have made reference to a casting problems. Thanks

Hi there, The first course of action is to clean off the entire area and install oil dye to confirm your leak point. If there are multiple repairs, someone is not doing their job correctly. These engines are VERY reliable when repaired correctly. Casting flaws, only if your technician doesnt do his homework PRIOR to repair. Allthebest, c4c5 |
