CM FX3 issues

My 94 ZR1 is throwing almost all the FX3 codes now
I replaced all 4 shocks and got the slow code for a while and then happy, happy , joy, joy no codes for a few months
Now I am getting 13, 14, 21, 22, 31,32,33,34
Sometimes when I check it one or the other wont show up but usually all of them and when I clear them they come right back

Any help will be greatly appreciated

HI there,
First things first, what type of shock did you install?
13,14,21,22 are timing codes, meaning that the control module cant find the ends of travel. This can be due to the stop breaking or the actuators stripping out.
Now those codes are for all 4 shocks.
31/32/33/34 are different, as these are out of position codes. That being said, if your actuators are not properly attached to the tops of the shocks OR the retaining clip is weak so the actuator slides up, all of these codes could set.
Thats where I would begin.

Thanks , the actuators all appear to be sated properly but I will check again this Sun

I cant figure out why they would all go bad at the same time

The actuators all appear to be seated properly and there is no visible damage to the gears

Are the gears supposed to move around slightly in the actuator?

HI there,
There may be a little play, however, the actuator gears should engage the wheel of the adjuster without rotating past the teeth.
The adjuster at the top of the shock should only rotate about 90 degrees.

Dumb Question..

are they the RIGHT Shocks? remember 90-91 are different from 92-95. The 90-91 have like 170deg turn the 92-95 is less (90 deg maybe)

so if you go 90-91 shocks, that would be the issue
