Nav Radio replacement

Greetings, I scrached the screen really bad on my 08 Vettes navigation screen,so i found a wrecking yard navigation radio,yea i know about wrecking yard stuff, but this vette nav radio had only 950 miles on this 08 vette, the part numbers were excatly the same number, so i bought it, when i plugged it in i get a message on the screen that says "theftlock activated" my question is--- how do i unlock the theftlock on the replacemnt radio? I have been told that i need a Tech 2 GM scan tool to do this, i have a SnapOn Modis with version 9.2 but can't seem to find anything that will unlock the radio. anybody got any info on unlocking the theftlock? Thanks for any help you can give me.

HI there,
Modis will NOT do it.
Only a Tech 2 can correctly program and set it up.
You can also use an MDI if you have one.

I figured as much, just have to bite the bullet and take it to the Dealership and have them reprogram it for me, THANK YOU ,its much appreciated. Dave
