I have a 91 vette with 49000 miles. Car started idling rough last fall. Car was stored for the winter. When I started this past weekend it would hardly idle at all. about 30 seconds after it was running the cooling fans came on and when I stepped on the gas the engine would die..I'm thinking the ECM is bad. It already has a re-manufactured unit in it. What do I have to do to change it? I'm reading about changing th PROM form one unit to the other, but I don't know how to do this. Please help!

HI there, You MIGHT want to check your injector coil resistance FIRST before anything else. 16.5 ohms resistance is what you should have on a cold engine. Post up your readings. Allthebest, c4c5 |
