Question idle and hesitation problems 2002 c5

Hi

I have read a couple to thread with related problems but have not been able to solve.

My problems typically occur between 2 and 15 minutes after a cold start. The car will practically stall out (or feel like it) in the final role to a stop. If this happens, the car will then hesitate upon starting. This has been happening for at least 1000 miles

The car has history codes of p0171 and p0174 and the engine service light goes on and off again (couple of days or starts) but it is hard to relate these engine light to the hesitation. (Possibliy it comes on the next start after a real bad hesitation).

From other threads I have read I have done the following:

reset the codes

cleaned the mav (twice)

added chevron gas additive (twice)

reset the idle

One thing I wanted to try is check the mav wiring, but I couldn't even figure how to disconnect it with out breaking it......can anyone help here??

Other possible information that might help
Turning air conditioner on seems to help the situation
The problem seems more likely to occur with a low tank of gas.

Help

thanks

HI there,
First, please list all modifications to the car.
Second, make sure the MAF sensor is CORRECTLY attached, so there is NO air leakage.
Also, make sure the PCV valve pipe and fresh air pipe are correctly attached so there is no air leakage.
Allthebest, c4c5

Smile maybe a fix?

Hi

No modifications, I do have a K&N air filter, that is why I cleaned the MAV twice.

I check the hoses around the area and found a possible problem, A short 1 inch hose on the front right side of the engine to something that might be the pcv...however the other side was a steel line and was insulated as if it were a gas line. Anyway, the hose looked good from the top but when felt around the underside it felt like a cut or a indent. For GP, I wrapped the hose tightly with electrical tape.

The next time I took the car out the idle seemed very low 400-500, but otherwise was well behaved.

Any change this might be my problem?

Thanks

Hi there,
The are both rubber. the PCV system hose goes from the intake manifold to the lower aluminum valley cover and will be shaped like a long C with a slight distortion.
If its going to the right side valve cover, thats your FRESH AIR INTAKE hose.
If its below the throttle body and goes from left cylinder head to right cylinder head, no.
Allthebest, c4c5
