Paul: I have another tread requsting info on whether the DERM for a 90 is still available and you are going to check on that Monday. In addition to the DERM not providing any codes (INFL REST light remains on all the time w/pin K to GND ALDL short and power/grounds I/O are good), there is another, intermittent problem. I get an intermittent no crank situation but no CCM codes are set. The ECM code that is set is 46, VAT ERROR. I've checked the circuit between the ECM and CCM and find no problems. Wiggle test shows nothing. ALL CCM & ECM functions appear good except for the intermittent no crank. The FSM says that code 46 prevents the injectors from being pulsed but does not mention a no crank condition. Since the DERM is bad and it has the crank signal go through it, plus the ECM ignition signal is routed to its connector, do you think the DERM could be at the heart of all these problems or do you suspect something else? Thanks! | ||||||||||||||||||||

HI there, There is no correlation between the air bag problem and the no crank. For the no crank, you most likely will need to change your ignition lock cylinder. Allthebest, c4c5 |
