hello all while driving home a few nights ago first my radio goes off then all i get a check egine light one , service active handing , low fuel , shocks not something cant remember what that one said. along with that my windows would not go down., also had reduce power and max speed 80mph.made it home try to start it right away again and it was dead only had lights on dash and on shift console. the next moring all worked fine for about 5min and then all the above happened again. FYI: the last two days my car at start up has 14.2v as i drive the voltage goes from 14.2 to 13.8 to as low as 11.7. i had both the alternator and batery checked both are good. i have also cleaned all the grounds in the engine compartment. while cleaning grounds i notice water res on what looks to be the bottom of the floor board where the bcm is located. took apart the bcm doesnt look to have corosion on the board. i am getting 12.0 volts when i measure with a meter the batery as well as the alternator. as far as codes are concerned i have no commications for the RTD. and a C1214 code. that has been around on and off for a few months now. at this moment car will start fine , check engine will display , as well as shocks unoperble. service traction control and Abs both lights are on also on dash. car continues to loose votage the longer it stays on. please help.

Wanna keep this up top cause this guy has troubles. Several electrical issues that have evaded resolution. He was refered to the Corvette master C4C5. C4C5 is traveling to PA this week for a GM event at Carlisle. He is filming a TV spot I understand. Might ride on out there on Saturday to say hello and gawk at all the fine GM machines and them foxy PA women. Hope you get it figured out Miami. Been raining? when you were driving home? My money remains on a ground failure. Have you checked the torx of the battery cables? Best of Luck

I had the same problem in 2006, with my 00 Vert. I removed the pc board from the BCM case, I found that water had tracked down and shorted the circuits. I cleaned the board with contact cleaner, rags and Q-tips. I haven't had a problem since. It's not hard to remove, and I figure, if its already broken, I can't break it. I also draped a piece of plastic over it to deflect any water that may leak in again.

You have multiple issues, as relates to communications. This is shown by the U1040 in the SDM and the P1571 from the PCM. YOUR TCS module is MORE than just the C1214, there is a problem with the communications within that module. It will require more than just a relay replacement. You will need to clear ALL CODES, install the repaired module and then reevaluate the condition to see what comes back. Allthebest, c4c5
