Cool A/C blowing warm air / defrost cool...help!!!!

I'm new to this site but I've heard nothing but good things about the advice and support that's given. I have a 2000 Blue/Tan convertible with 92,000 miles on it, mostly highway driving. The car looks and runs great but I'm having trouble with my automatic A/C. When I turn it on, I'm barely getting any air from the side vents and only a slight bit more from the center vent and what's coming out is warm air. Defrost vents blows cool air. The blower is blowing like crazy (high) so I'm thinking it's a problem with the blend doors. Checking my DIC I found the HVAC code B0338 - inside air temp sensor open. Tried several times to reset, even disconnected the battery for a minute to try and reset the blend doors - no help. What affect dooes this open sensor have on the operation of the A/C unit. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated before taking it to the dealer. Thanks!

HI there,
You are going to want to check the vacuum lines from the engine to the reservoir mounted in the right front inner fender.
They may have been subjected to acid leakage and have been leaking.

Thanks! - are these the lines located under the battery tray and would the vaccum leak cause the DIC B0338 code?
