Autox a dirt track mod lite?

I had the chance to try about 6 laps in a small race car the builder calls a Mod Lite. It's about a 1/3 scale dirt track car with the lowered flat roof. Open wheel. Crawl in the top. 4 cyl motorcycle engine, 6 speed tran (no rev)

It was set up to lean in the turn & then bite (grip) so the owner tried to set it up as neutral as he could as autox has left & right turns.

Part of set up was tire stagger (not by pressure, but by tire diameter, using a HUGE caliper that measured tire diameter.) The tires would change diameter as they heated/cooled.

I got very close to the same times as my z06 (which were good times as I won my class next day)

Quite a blast & I bet even more so on dirt.

He builds them down in El Cajon, CA. His shop is next to a bunch of off road Baja racer guys like "Iron Man" Stewart etc.

they run them on dirt and pavement around here
