CM Fuel Pump Life

Does anyone know how long the fuel pump should last before failing?
I have 106K on my car and I'm wondering how long I've got before it fails.

I've never had one go on me before, but then again I always changed them out at around 100K -110K miles just to be sure.

Thanks,
Jim

I haven't heard of any mileage intervals for fuel pump life. I have seen many go 300k plus miles with no problems.

In my experiences its always been the relay that goes first.
Is that still the case?

Keep the fuel filter fresh and that will help its life... If it is not whining excessively, I would leave it alone for now.

Now go play with your tools!

I have found both to be as reliable as the other. Fuel pump/relay problems are very rare, unless someone has altered them with aftermarket components.

I replaced the relay in my car when I got it at 53,000, for good measure. Kept the old as a spare.
