Have a 1984 C4 Corvette with overheating problem. Have replaced radiator; water pump; hoses; radiator cap; serpentine belt....no luck. Is there a dual fan replacement available or an auxilary fan available for this year.

The fan is coming on at 200; no leaks and coolant is boiling over through the reservoir tank.

HI there, What does your temperature say on the gauge???? Fan is coming on too early, it should come on at 228. How old is the radiator cap??? I would be looking at the chance of a head gasket leaking. Does this occur even when the engine is cold???? Allthebest, c4c5 |

Hi, The radiator cap is also new, and fan is coming on at 228. Have also tried bypassing the temperature sensor by wiring fan direct, but still won't keep the engine from overheating. No problems when engine is cold.

HI there, Sounds like you have a head gasket that is leaking. A compression test would be the next course of action here. Allthebest, c4c5 |

Hi Thanks for the tip....going to run the compression test and pull heads if necessary. But also, is there an auxilary fan or dual fan setup for the 1984?

HI there, There was a Z51 option which gave you a pusher fan in the FRONT of the radiator. But, you shouldnt need it. Allthebest, c4c5 |
