Red face C1 ignition

I went to start my 62 C1, I turned on the electric fuel pump, and turned the key. Everything shut down. Nothing, no lights, no pump nothing. I seem to have power to the fuse box, but that is all. Any suggestions on where to start.

I can not check the battery, because it is in the trunk and it's electric. (no key)

having power to the fuse block and the entire rest of the car dead doesn't sound possible. the interior light and the headlights would work at that point. how are you determining that you have power into the fuse block? change the heavy 30 or 40 amp main fuse in the top of the block and see what happens. even if it doesn't look blown. i personally would start with changing every fuse in the car for the $2 its gonna cost. there cant be much in the way of electric operated stuff in a c1. if you really dont have power into the fuse block then i'd start looking for a fusible link somewhere in the wiring.

Thanks. I pulled the fuses and checked with a meter. I will check the fuse on the block. Some else told me to check a fusable link. Any suggestion on how to open the trunk ? When the tail was customized the key latch was covered. It is a power latch now.
