CM '89 runs rough at operating temperature

The '89 has a problem when it reaches operating temperature. It starts to run rough and sometimes dies. If it has not reached operating temperature by the time I reach my destination, when I come out it won't start until the engine has cooled down. I have replaced the control module inside the distributor and the coil. Since I was there and it was so much fun to work in that area, I replaced the distributor and the rotor. Prior to doing this I had the fuel pressure checked and it was on target.

Does anyone have any ideas?

HI there,
Check your resistance on your fuel injectors when this occurs.
16.5 ohms resistance is specification when cold, as you get hot it will rise a few ohms.

Thank you. I will give that a try. Several years ago, #1 injector failed and caused the whole system to shot down. It would not start hot or cold.

Thanks for the advice to check the resistance on the injectors.

I checked the resistance on the injectors. Five are at 16.1 - 16.4. I have one at 8.1, one a 11.3 and one at 14.1. I think I need to replace these three. Now the question becomes how hard is it to replace injectors. Two of them are second from the front on each side. The other is the furthest back on driver's side.

Do you think it may be smart to replace all eight?
