As a "new" member here (although I've been on the Corvette Forum for 10 yrs.) it may or may not be my place to mention this, but I just wanted others to have this information. In these times of "poor business" and the approaching holiday season, I thought this could save money for parents/grandparents on toys. I had purchased a motorized Corvette for my grandchild and when my daughter and her family moved to another state they lost the battery charger for it. I contacted the selling store..Toys-R-Us..about a replacement charger, and maybe new battery just to be sure, only to be told "the company no longer sells the charger or battery for that car". This manufacturer of the car is Safety First, which makes child seats as well as many other things, and Toys-R-Us still sells the "current" body style Corvette (mine was a C5 and they now have the C6) but cannot get parts for either. After a long and fruitless search (including using an email address from a campaign on the battery plug which could short out and cause a fire, I received no help) I found a company that sold the Safety First charger and battery (although they did not know when the batteries would be available) which is "FOX International" so I ordered the part. When I was on the phone with them I asked numerous times the "total cost" for the sale, and was told the same price each time, so I paid with my credit card. Today the item was received but the price was different, it was not a lot different, but different non the less, so I called FOX International. After waiting 15 min. on the phone FOX told me in no uncertain terms that they would not make good for the overcharge and if I wanted to return it I'd have to pay 25% in handling...now that is what I call crappy customer service you can be the judge yourself but when I go to buy toys for the grandkids, or others, for the upcomming holiday season you can be sure that I will not buy from Toys-R-Us, Safety First or FOX International...how about you?? It's your money but why throw it away with poor serving companies?

Contact your credit card company and let them fight it out.
