94 coupe, 6speed: Last weekend I had to travel in the rain while attending the Adirondack Nationals car show. My wipers were not working great. They were chafing because it looked like the blade would not flip when they reversed. The next thing that happened is the got stuck to each other. They jammed in mid flight and just hung there. I shut them off and they unjammed themselves. They blades are about a year old. Would you recommend changing them and why would they jam? Is it because they were dragging/chafing? Do they not flip because the blade is to hard or could it be the arms have lost tension on the springs?

Check both the nuts holding the wiper arms onto their pivots for tightness.
