Ok I put the tech 2 unit on my 2001 Corvette to recalibrate my IPC volt gauge. I found that there is no recalibration screen on a 2001 in the tech 2. However I did find that under a 1999 corvette screen there is, so I used that and it says that it was successful. After the recalibration it did seem to be right but as the car ran the voltage on the screen slowly worked its way back up to 16.9 volts. The fluke on the alternator was still showing 14.3 I assume at this stage I have no other choice but to either replace the unit or send it out for repair. Does anyone know the name of the place in New York that the dealers send the items to? Any comments on the shop? Bob

It would have to be in the IPC itself. I tested both grounds at the plug that goes in the IPC and tested from one ground to the other with very little difference. Bob

How are you testing, because resistance is not enough. You must do a voltage drop while everything is powered up to be SURE they are sound. Allthebest, c4c5 |
