Question Muncie Transmission

I have a new supercase for my 69 M20. I've measured the case and cluster gear and the end clearance is 0.134" One 0.063 thrust washer at each end will give 0.008" clearance. Is this Ok? The shopmanual says if over 0.025" replace washers. Is 0.008" enough. It's going to be tuff to get this together.
Thanks

Hi there,
Normally, I would measure the endplay prior to disassembly.

Then, duplicate that when you install in the NEW case.

But from what your saying, .008 should be enough.

Allthebest, c4c5

CM Muncie supercase

Thanks for the reply. The old case was damaged by a spinning thrust washer and the endplay was about .040" When I disassembled it I decided to get a new case becuase the repair was as much as the new case and it was not the original case. Putting the cluster gear back in there with the 0.008" clearance will be a challenge.
Having fun.
