CM Winter startup and drive

I have a 2006 C6 with 48K miles on it. During winter startups i will warm up for 30-60seconds, then drive out of my garage and it makes a clicking/banging/rubbing noise seemingly from the front. After driving past like 10mph it goes away and doesnt come back, until another cold start. I took to a dealer and they couldnt find anything wrong, but it does it everyday now. Any thoughts and does this sound serious or could be just something freezing overnight?

The lows are in the twenties at night, it is a open air garage so the temps are very comparable. As soon as I drive down the garage with no accerlation no noise, but once I turn on the street and hit the accerlator it makes this noise, then really after it shifts it goes away, but it does it EVERY day. I just had a oil change/transmission flush recently.

I think when a car is that cold it's going to have a couple of creaks & groans until it warms up.

I would suggest the next time you drive around, park it as usual in your normal space. Then after a few minutes (say 10-15) get in & drive it off as usual & see if it makes the noise again. If no noise (car warmed up/tires warmed up etc) then I say it's normal & forget about it, come spring/summer/fall it'll not be there.

:)
