CM Front rotor and hub

I am in the process of rebuilding a 72 coupe, it was a manual but will be an automatic. It will be used as a driver and cruiser. I’ve started with the front end. Trying to remove the front brake rotor front the hub I’ve soaked it in penetrating oil, it won’t move. Is the rotor riveted to the hub? In searching for parts I have not seen rotors for 72’s with hubs attached. How would the new set up work?

Front is a disc brake, correct?

Whack it with a 2 lb hammer, or put the lugs back on loose & drive SLOWLY in a circle a couple of times.

It's rusted to the hub.

Yes they are disks, front and rear.
I've been using a five pounder on it. Can’t drive no engine or tranny. I read in a restoration book that the rotor is riveted, but there was no comment on removing it.
Thanks for the reply. I’ll let it soak another day.

I’ve found that the rotor is riveted to the wheel-bearing carrier. This assembly is then machined to match the hub to obtain the proper run out.
The rotor is still good enough for use, so I won’t need to change it.
If they were not I would have to drill the rivets out. A new rotor would require shimming to get the right run out. Without the proper run out you would get a spongy brake pedal. I believe I am right on this. If someone has more information or corrections to what I am doing I would like to hear it.
