Update - Put Edelbrock carb back on - Engine runs a little better but still cuts out under a load between 1500RPM and 2500RPM

Took out Lectric Limited electronic module and put points and condensor back in distributor set dwell to 30 deg - no change, still cutting out

Checked centrifugal advance found it advances timing 24 deg so set base timing to 12 BTDC for total of 36 deg at 2500RPM. Seems like something is going on at 2500RPM because that's where it start clearing up.

Any ideas? Could my valves be out of adjusment. I don't hear them rattle at all so if they are wrong they would have to be too tight?

Thanks

Roger

Got it!!!

Used disbributor from my 1976. Works like a charm. My big block is running great.

Now I need to fix the old one. In the mean time I ordered a Mallory from Summit.

Thanks

Roger
