CM LEDConversion brake light and tail lights

Hello, 1995 Corvette converted 3rd brake light and tail lights to LED'S
Now turn signals inop unless manually lifting up and down on turn signal switch. Manufacture said LEDS not drawing enough current and sent out 123 turn signal module that is supposed to go off a timer rather than drawing current because they say LEDS don't draw enough current. They also sent a reverse polarity switch and some diodes. The problem now is the turn signals work but it sounds like the turn signals are also activated as it keeps clicking even when signals off. Any LED experts out there. Thanks

I cannot comment on your specific situation but I too had issues when converting to LEDs on my C5. First, I went through two different sets, before I found one that fit my fascia. With the sets that did not fit, the turn signals hyperflashed every time. I did research and found that load resistors would supposedly fix the issue because the LEDs did not produce enough load, or draw like you state.

Then with the set I finally got, I did not get hyperflash when I used the signals, but I did get it when I turned the AC on, or the headlights, and then the turn signals at the same time.
Voltage is a key issue with them I know. So, I ended up buying an electronic turn signal flasher to fix the occasional hyper flash issue.

I suppose it is just as well because my turn signal flasher was original and if it broke, it is buried in the dash and not easy to get to. The elec one I bought, bypasses the original and is easy to get to. Quieter too!

Now go play with your tools!

HI there,
They are correct.

There is not enough amperage draw to create the heating of the flasher and the subsequent function.

Honestly, I install resistors inline prior to the bulb, that create the current flow.

Allthebest, c4c5

I have load resistors if you want them. I bought them for a set I tried to get to work before the final set I bought.

Just give me a few bucks for shipping and their yours. I have four, one per bulb.

These resistors do get hot, so be careful where you mount them and make sure you do not melt anything!

Now go play with your tools!

HI there,
Well, then, something is being missed.

You will need to actually document all repairs, including circuits and LOCATIONS of the repairs.

Details will enable us to help you further.

Allthebest, c4c5
