Hi there,
What you have now is the BEST size.

Remember, changing the tire size, will change the data for your Active handling computer.

This can result in the system not functioning correctly in the event it activates.

We do NOT endorse changing tire sizes in anyway for this reason.

Allthebest, c4c5

just a word of warning about black out kits for brake lites. i almost hit a fellow corvette driver because with the blackout kit and my Polaroid sunglass i did not see him hit the brakes because they were so dim..

Hard enough getting civilians to understand Corvettes do brake faster than soccer mom's mini vans without adding a curve ball.

I wish there was a way to make them even brighter, since making other driver's brighter doesn't seem to be panning out.

I've never blacked out mine and yet I've still been rear-ended three times by people who think all brakes are the same.

When GM releases the Z06 Carbon, will it have 18's & 19's or will it have ZR1 sized wheels? And, if it has ZR1 sized wheels, will it have a 325 rear tire width or 335 or what?

I'm thinking it's going to wear ZR1 tires and wheels. Anyone?

So, back to the original question.
What is the widest tires I can put on a stock 2008 Z06 without any problems? Stock 19' rear wheels. I am curious, I have seen a few Z06's with 345/30ZR19's and wonder what, if any problems they might encounter. I assume a speedometer recalibration must be done, and just heard from a friend a "Drive Line Drag" message may occur under deceleration.

Here's been my experience~
I have PS2's (345/30-19 & 275/35-18) on stock wheels. (2006 ZO6.) No speedo recalibration is necessary. I have never "rubbed" on either back or front. (And on 2 occassions, I've had my car completely off of the ground.) Similiar to Nordschleiffe.

If your car is "settled," go out and measure your wheel arches to the ground.

The front is supposed to be 26.4"
The rear is supposed to be 27.5"

Be sure to measure both sides of your car!

Also, I've had "engine drag control" once, while driving on a city street with huge dips @ 35 mph, (the speed limit.)
That must have been 3 years ago, give or take. hasn't happened since. And I drive that same road everytime I return from the backcountry twistys.
The car has 53,000 miles. The 345 sized tires have been on since: 9-16-2010 @ 42,136 miles. I used OEM Goodyears before that (3 sets.)
