CM 95 dual mass flywheel problem

I'm replacing the clutch in my 95 6 speed and my mechanic suggested I replace the dual mass flywheel as well due to the availability of a new one. I have searched the internet for a new one,but to no avail. They are obsolete from GM. and every other mfg. It is recommended that I not replace it with a standard or billet flywheel due to the vibration and whining. Anybody familiar with this problem?

HI there,

As far as I know, LUK still makes the dual mass flywheel.

I bought one about 2 months ago to do a customers car.

Check with your local LUK parts supplier.

It may no longer be available over the parts counter at a Chevy dealer, but if you can find it from LUK then you're golden. LUK was the OE supplier for those flywheel/clutches.

I spoke to a person at Carolina clutch and performance a long time distributor of LUK around 3 to 6 months ago and he said at that time LUK was not making the dual mass flywheel anymore. c4c5, could you tell us where you were able to buy the dual mass flywheel because I can't find a new one anywhere.
