CM K&N Oil Filter and Filter Magnets

All right c4c5 Spring is here and it is your chance to once again suggest I use GM original parts! 2002 C5. What do you say about K&N oil filters and a Filtermag filter magnet? Thank c4c5 and all.

HI there,

The K&N oil filter is a quality part that does not perform any better than stock. Its a good filter, but there is no comparable improvement over OEM.

As for the magnet, dont waste the money. Micron filtration rating will be enough.

Allthebest, c4c5

Filter question

our car requests a PF44 oil filter.

What would be involved with changing to a PF46 or 48. Has anyone done this change.

I assume protection would be the same, would it just be a matter of changing the thread insert in pan.

HI there,
PF46 is the correct filter. PF48 is for a larger diameter outlet and will not fit on LS1/LS6.
