2000 stock coupe 60,000 miles Gauge will register full when tanks are full. Always at 1/2 full level is when I get erratic DIC messages. Right tank empty...switching to Left tank...I guess. Once gauge dropped to empty at 1/2 full. Next recently "reserve fuel" message appeared at 1/2 full. Been adding Techron Plus using Phillip 66 100% fuel and now switched to Shell 10% ethanol. Does not produce any codes in diagnostics. Any thoughts. Thanks. | ||||||||||||||||||||

HI there, You WILL have codes if the fuel gauge goes to empty, as this is the reaction of the PCM seeing incorrect readings from the fuel tank sending units. We would need more information to assist you. The codes when this happens would allow us more precise information. Allthebest, c4c5 |

I had similar issues and after a few tanks with techron fuel system cleaner in there the gauge works ok. occasionally it will stick and seems like it reads more per 1/8 of the tank increments. I bought a new level sensor for the left side tank and then attempted replacing it and got intimidated..... So it's still in the box.
